Breaking Up with Mom Guilt and No Comparison! (Two-part presentation)

Kristin Hultgren, MA, LCPC, CTMH

If there’s one feeling that’s universal in caregiving, it’s guilt. It can often feel like we’re not doing enough, not advocating enough – not being enough. “Other families obviously have it all figured out, so why can’t I?!” Sound familiar? As a caregiver herself, Kristin has been there and will share realistic tools and strategies to help you break out of the cycle of guilt and shame so you can better focus on the things that matter most. The second part of this presentation deals with comparison. We all know that “comparison is the killer of joy”, at any stage of our caregiving journey. Kristin will provide us with the skills we need to deal with the emotions that come with comparison.

Navigating the Island: You’re Not as Alone as You Think

Luchana Imbrogno, Co-Leader of Rising Moms and Founder of the Rising Moms Retreat

Being a caregiver can feel extraordinarily isolating. We are not meant to navigate this journey alone. Finding relief through the support of other caregivers can be life-changing – but that’s often easier said than done. Join me in discovering ways to not only find your tribe but continue to cultivate it into a true community for you and your family.

Plus, Join Us For:

● “Sister Circles” where you’ll be seated with those who are caring for someone of a similar age as you discuss a range of topics so you can connect on a deeper level

● Optional morning breakout sessions including yoga, a book exchange and coffee or sleeping in

● Rising Moms of Adults (RMOA) Meet-Up to connect with other mothers of adults with disabilities ages 18+

● Evening activities including everything from socializing to swimming at the indoor pool
